Dopamine dressing: red and blue are the new neutral Dopamine dressing: red and blue are the new neutral Dopamine dressing: red and blue are the new neutral Dopamine dressing is the new neutral, and we are absolutely here for it. Red and blue have emerged as the unexpected fashion pairing of the season, and we're loving the bold combination.
The pairing brings together a variety of red and blue hues to create looks that are impossible to ignore. If you were strolling through Copenhagen's fashion-forward streets right now, you'd be sure to spot this two-tone combination everywhere. Think calming aqua blue paired with a sultry red—the perfect recipe for a stylish outfit, whatever the occasion.
The likes of Prada, Celine and Leowe all featured the captivating colours in their Spring/Summer 2026 collections which were notably highlighted as the strongest looks to grace the catwalk, with emphasis on layering, stand out accessories and colour blocking. There are plenty of reasons why this colour combination has become such a hit. It's bright, bold and powerful, while adding an instant confidence boost to any outfit. So, we've been looking at how to bring the trend into our autumn wardrobes without having to completely overhaul what's already hanging in our closets.
Finding a trend that suits you doesn't mean you have to go all out and buy a whole new wardrobe of pieces to mix and match. Sometimes, all it takes is one simple outfit featuring both colours to show that you're not only embracing the latest fashions, but putting your own personal spin on them, too.
It's also a brilliant and versatile way to introduce more colour into your wardrobe. And the best part? You can easily take both shades from summer into autumn with just a few key pieces.
