We picked the best looks from the M&S Autumn clothing launch

Autumn has well and truly crept up on us. We've just seen what our favourite high street store will be stocking for the new season, and the overall feel is refreshingly simple.
The style stakes were high in London this week, with a run of Autumn/Winter reveals bringing out some of the fashion industry's biggest names. This time of year is always a treat for us fashion lovers. Think winter warmers, party dresses for the festive season, and all the fur and cosiness you could wish for. We were lucky enough to get an invite to the M&S A/W preview, and there was plenty to get excited about.
The Colour Palette
The M&S design team clearly had one thing in mind this season, and they nailed it. This year's A/W collection leans into a stunning autumnal palette- think moss greens, deep berries, and pops of colour on the trending shoes we all secretly need in our wardrobes.

Fur
This longline fur will complement pretty much any autumn outfit. Styled here with an understated loafer, a cropped barrel trouser or jean, and a simple white/neutral tee, it's the easiest everyday fit going.
Having a good mooch around the room, it was clear just how much influence this high street powerhouse has over the trends we'll all be following. Attendees leaned into the casual-yet-chic, favouring minimalist tailoring- a welcome, easy-to-wear trend that can be dressed up or down in plenty of ways.

Colour Blocking & Texture
One of the biggest styling tips we're taking from this collection is subtle colour blocking, layered with different textures and styles to give any outfit a bit more dimension. We kept coming back to one stand in particular for its accent dressing- trending colours, lace, fur, and pointed shoes all came together as a brilliant preview of what to expect from A/W26.

Playful Proportions
We're loving the playful proportions heading into the new season, with overlapping styles and textures that even the least daring among us could give a go.
Expect to see pops of red running through the M&S New In edit- layering a bold colour with neutral pieces is such an easy way to elevate a look without it feeling overpowering, and we're very much here for it.

Prints We're Packing
We cannot wait to fill our wardrobes with animal print and check this season. Working with just a handful of prints is exactly the right amount of adventurous styling to build some brand-new A/W looks.

Wardrobe Staples We're Not Letting Go Of
It's been lovely to see the aviator jacket still holding its own amongst newer arrivals like funnel necks and checked jackets. The fur collar and that gorgeous chocolate brown colourway makes it an easy staple for any closet this season.
Another seasonal tip we picked up wandering the M&S racks: there are no rules when it comes to styling autumnal shades. Pair their heritage-feel New Ins with hints of brown, red and moss green, and let the look come together with no holding back.
