Paris Fashion Week has has come to a close this week, and the Spring/Summer 2027 shows gave us all the wardrobe inspiration we needed. Saint Laurent staged its show beneath the Eiffel Tower under gold chandeliers, and Dior’s runway was all floaty chiffon and barely-there lace. As always, the drama didn’t stop at the catwalk. The front rows have been just as good as the runways, with Rihanna, Jennifer Lawrence, Zoë Kravitz and Jennifer Lopez all turning up in looks we’ll be thinking about for months.

Over in the US, the MTV VMAs gave us a red carpet full of old Hollywood glamour, moody monochrome and the odd flash of leather. Taylor Swift went full couture, and Charli XCX did it in black (obviously).

And as if that wasn’t enough, the highly anticipated The Celebrity Traitors landed on BBC One on Thursday 1 October, bringing Claudia Winkleman’s ‘castle core’ back into our lives. Fingerless gloves, chunky boots and tartan worn in ways you’d never expect: autumn is officially sorted.

So grab a cuppa and get comfy. Here’s who wore what over the past few weeks, plus how to steal the looks without spending a fortune.

On the runway: glitter, gold and barely-there chiffon

Saint Laurent went full golden hour. Anthony Vaccarello staged the show beneath the Eiffel Tower on 1 October, under towering gold chandeliers.

Think sharp-shouldered suits in liquid lamé, burnished satin and metallic leather, knee-length pencil skirts with boxy ’80s jackets, and fur-trimmed cuffs on everything from minidresses to bodysuits.

Dior felt like a deep breath. Jonathan Anderson made “air itself” the material: asymmetric gathered skirts, cropped Bar jackets, and swingy chiffon drop-waist dresses in silk mousseline, Chantilly lace and translucent gauze. Light, floaty and very, very wearable (in our dreams).

On the sidelines: the front-row fits

As always, the majority of fashion week followers have kept their peepers on the front row at some of the most sophisticated of annual events… and they have not disappointed!

The singer with a makeup and skincare empire attended Dior on 29 September and went all-black with a fur stole and a diamond anklet. Then she flipped the script at Matières Fécales in a tangerine tinsel skirt set and Matières Fécales x Christian Louboutin pumps.

The Celebrity Traitors: Claudia is back, and so are her popular fits

The Celebrity Traitors returned to BBC One on Thursday 1 October with a cast that includes Bella Ramsey, Jerry Hall, Maya Jama, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Michael Sheen and Richard E. Grant. Iconic. But let’s be real: we’re here for Claudia.

Claudia’s style is impeccable, and it is all thanks to her trusty stylist Sinead McKeefry. For the shipwreck-themed opening mission on the Scottish shoreline, Claudia wore Vivienne Westwood Wool Trousers, (our Hey Savi search found this Vestiaire Collective second-hand pair for £1,500), teamed with chunky boots and a thick chocolate-brown jacket.

The signatures are all present and correct: fingerless gloves, chunky boots and tartan worn in new, unexpected ways. Castle-core is officially back for autumn.

We spotted this Saint Laurent piece on the beautiful Maya Jama…

Maya wore this gorgeous Saint Laurent Double Breasted Belted Shell Trench Coat, £2,570.

Elsewhere this week: the VMAs red carpet

Over in the US, the MTV VMAs on Sunday 28 September leaned into old Hollywood glamour, with plenty of moody monochrome and a sprinkle of leather. The looks we can’t stop thinking about:

  • Taylor Swift in Tamara Ralph couture. A sleeveless, almost-black blue velvet mock-neck bodice with mesh cutouts, over a sparkly silver column skirt, with Leviev earrings and bedazzled Le Silla sandals.
  • Sienna Spiro in Valentino. The Best New Artist winner chose a champagne gown with a low V-neck and silver embellishment, plus bouncy brown curls.
  • Teyana Taylor in Zuhair Murad. A black robe gown that was pure screen siren.
  • Charli XCX in Saint Laurent. A black two-piece, because of course Charli did it in black.

Our look of the week

It has to be Rihanna. Going from all-black Dior elegance to a tangerine tinsel skirt set in the same week is the kind of range we live for. Honourable mention to Claudia’s fingerless gloves, which have never once let us down.
