The Celebrity Traitors is back on our screens, and with it comes the annual national obsession with what Claudia Winkleman is wearing. This year, you don’t need a Highland castle budget to join in. Boden’s autumn collection has landed with pleated kilts, check coats, velvet blazers and Fair Isle knits that look like they were pulled straight from the Round Table wardrobe rail.

So pour a cup of tea, draw the curtains against the drizzle, and let’s get into the pieces we’d happily be banished in.

Why we can’t stop copying Claudia

Claudia’s Traitors wardrobe works because it’s theatrical but still wearable. Her stylist, Sinead McKeefry, builds around 24 looks a series, half for daytime and half for the Round Table, leaning on British heritage names like Brora, Barbour and Burberry. The result is part country house, part gothic mystery.

The signature ingredients are easy to spot. They include Tartan and tweed, chunky knits, dramatic outwear, accessories with attitude and pattern clashing. Boden’s autumn edit ticks off almost every one.

Tartan takes centre stage

If there’s one piece that says “I’m a Faithful, I promise”, it’s a pleated kilt. Boden’s Pleated Midi Kilt (£189) comes in a Hotch check and a navy and camel check. Both have the swing and weight of the real thing, and look brilliant with a chunky knit and boots.

For something a little softer, the Cassie Checked Tea Dress (£149) in maroon and olive is pure country-house charm. The Maeve Occasion Shirt Dress (£219) in navy, green and blue check is the one for a Round Table-worthy evening.

Then there’s outerwear. The Aylesford Wool Coat (£269) in olive, navy and red check is the kind of statement coat Claudia would stride across a castle lawn in. And if you only want a flash of tartan, the Embellished Court Shoes in Red Tartan (£169)v are a playful nod to the trend.

Tailoring with a twist

Claudia’s looks are never stuffy, and Boden’s tailoring this season follows suit. The Keswick Cord Blazer in Dark Crimson (£149) is a rich, moody shade that works over a knit or a frilled blouse. For after dark, the Stamford Velvet Blazer in Multi Jewelled Bunch (£199) brings a touch of drama fit for a banishment.

On the bottom half, the Belgravia Chunky Cord Trousers in Bitter Chocolate (£129) are the grown-up autumn staple. And no heritage wardrobe is complete without a trench: the Double Breasted Trench in Camel (£289) will outlast many seasons of shocking reveals.

How to get the Round Table look

We love the Chunky Fair Isle Jumper in Chinchilla Melange (£139), Belgravia cord trousers and Chunky Chelsea Wellie Boots in Khaki (£85). You can add fingerless gloves if you’re feeling committed. Or try a Pleated Midi Kilt in navy and camel check, Ariadne Wool Blend Jumper in Orange Argyle (£129) and the camel trench. Yes, argyle and tartan together. Claudia would approve.

Finally, try a Maeve check shirt dress under the velvet blazer, finished with the red tartan courts. Heavy fringe and smoky eyeliner optional, but encouraged.

Boden’s autumn edit is Faithful to the Traitors aesthetic in all the right ways: heritage checks, rich colours and tailoring with a bit of mischief. Whether you go all in with a kilt and Fair Isle or just slip on tartan court shoes, it’s the easiest way to channel Claudia this season. Just don’t be surprised if someone at the office starts eyeing you suspiciously.
