Steal Gillian Owens' Look 

If Sally is cosy-cottage energy, Gillian has always been the sister who does gothic glamour- think rich jewel tones, velvet and that unmistakable boho-meets-gothic-romance edge. Nicole Kidman's wardrobe in the original film gave us green velvet dresses and floral cardigans that felt genuinely spellbinding, and Practical Magic 2 leans right back into it. 

The 2026 update keeps that same romantic, textured feel- think structured vintage silhouettes softened with cosy oversized knits thrown on top- but with a slightly more modern, wearable edge. It's dramatic without trying too hard, which is exactly the Gillian way. Here's how to get the look. 

The velvet dress 

Gillian's green velvet moment is the whole mood- "gothic glamour" with a touch of witchcraft. The Yumi Dark Green Velvet One Shoulder Midi Dress, £42 (down from £60) at New Look, is the exact deep green, one-shoulder drama we're after. Or another option, this Topshop premium double layered cowl slip with beading and broderie in green | ASOS, £108, is a more transitional and fun piece you can layer up with for the chillier seasons to come- just add casual jewellery and a tousled up do. 

The oversized knit 

The trick to Gillian's look is layering a big, slouchy cardigan over something more structured. The Cream Dorothy Perkins Chunky Longline Multi Cable Cardigan | Debenhams has that loose, open, throw-it-on silhouette. 

The black dress 

The chiffon sleeves are killing us. There is something so witchy and sultry about a floaty black dress. Team with a thin black scarf and tousled locks for the full whimsy affect.

The lace  

 The lace layering is subtle but so beautiful for our autumnal wardrobe shift.

Steal Sally Owens' look 

Sally Owens (Sandra Bullock) has always been the queen of effortless, cosy-cool dressing- think well-worn Levi's, oversized cable-knit cardigans, floaty floral maxi skirts and cotton pieces layered on layered on layered. It's the kind of wardrobe that looks thrown together but is secretly the hardest to nail. 

And in Practical Magic 2, that signature style is very much intact- just with a few subtle, modern updates woven in. A little more polish, a little more structure, but that same warm, lived-in charm that made us fall for her closet in the first place. Basically: the throw-on-and-go aesthetic we've been chasing for years, now with a fresh 2026 twist. Here's how to get the look. 

The cardigan

The floral maxi skirt/dress

A floral maxi or midi is the ultimate Autumnal essential- you can layer with a lengthy scarf, a chunky cardigan and a multifunctional trench OR spice a printed dress up with minimal accessories and a strappy heel for evening wear. We love this Rixo dress as it simply does all the talking- team it with tousled hair just like Sally and you nail witchy-chic like a pro. 

The cute denim 

Who doesn't love a dungs and plain tee vibe? Ok so not everyone BUT we are here to show you that you can make them look just as effortlessly good as Sandra Bullock does. Sally is usually the more conservatively dressed of the two sisters, but this look has us scoping out all the 'womens denim dungarees' we can find- ASOS stocks this Levi's baggy denim set which have gone straight in our basket.  

The tailoring 

A long, sweeping coat thrown over a denim midi and a crisp white shirt is smart-casual done the Sally way: structured enough to feel intentional, relaxed enough to still feel like her.
